# How often should I send social media clients a report?

Monthly for results, with a short quarterly review that looks at the goal and sets the next 90 days. Weekly reporting is usually too frequent for organic social to show meaningful change, though a quick weekly note on leads or issues can help busy accounts.

Monthly is also what most agencies do. In a Databox survey of agencies, about 46% reviewed goal progress with clients monthly, about 18% quarterly and about 14% weekly.

The monthly report should open with the outcome closest to money (enquiries, bookings, customers) against the agreed target, then the posts behind it, then supporting detail.

The quarterly review is a different document: one page that answers whether the work was worth it and what happens next. It's also the natural moment to adjust the goal.

The full method is in [What to Show a Client at the Renewal Call (A One-Page Template for Social Media Agencies)](https://www.inexra.com/resources/what-to-show-clients-at-the-renewal-call).
